Privacy at a Glance

• Host account info — Provided by Host — Used to manage your event and billing — Shared with payment processors where necessary.
• Guest nickname and score — Provided by Guest — Used for leaderboard functionality — Shared with the Host and other Guests in the same event.

1. Data Controller

Monkey Nuts Ltd ('we', 'us', or 'our') operates Get2Know and processes personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and, where applicable, the EU GDPR.

2. Hosts and Guests

We process personal data relating to Hosts (event organisers) and Guests (participants). Hosts may provide account, payment-related and quiz content data. Guests may provide display names or nicknames and generate score data necessary for live gameplay.

Guest nicknames and scores may be visible to the Host and other participants in the same event, including through analytics exports made available to the Host.

We recommend guests avoid using full legal names as leaderboard nicknames if they prefer not to be identified.

3. What Data We Collect

We collect only personal data necessary to operate the Game. We do not store individual guest responses to quiz questions.

4. Why We Collect Your Data

To provide accounts, gameplay, paid event services, support scoring and leaderboards, manage user-generated questions, maintain security and comply with legal obligations.

5. Legal Basis for Processing

Consent; Performance of a contract; Legitimate interests.

6. Data Retention

Personal data is deleted when a user deletes their account. Quizzes, leaderboard data and inactive event data are deleted when the associated account or event is deleted. Guest responses are not stored.

7. Payments

Payments for paid plans are processed through Stripe. We do not store or process full payment card details. See Stripe's privacy policy for more information.

8. Data Processors and Third Parties

We use trusted third-party providers to process personal data on our behalf.

Supabase acts as a data processor under our instructions for database hosting, authentication and secure storage. Supabase processes data in accordance with its Data Processing Addendum, including confidentiality obligations, technical and organisational security measures, restrictions on data use and support for data subject rights.

Processors are contractually bound to process personal data only on our documented instructions.

9. International Data Transfers

Where personal data is processed outside the UK or EEA, safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the UK Information Commissioner's Office and European Commission apply, including relevant contractual commitments from processors.

10. Security Measures

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures including access controls, encrypted data transmission where applicable and secure infrastructure provided by Supabase. While we take reasonable steps to secure data, no system can be guaranteed completely secure.

11. User Content Responsibility

Event organisers are responsible for the questions and content they create and share through Get2Know and must not unlawfully disclose personal data relating to others, including children.

12. Your Rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, object to processing, data portability and withdraw consent where applicable.

We will respond without undue delay and within timeframes required by law.

13. Children's Privacy

Children under 13 should not create accounts. Children may participate incidentally at family or social events under adult supervision. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children under 13.

14. Future Technologies

If Get2Know uses cookies or similar technologies in future, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we may notify users through the Game or via email.
